Let’s quickly check how to make these crispy fried beans. First wash and clean the beans and cut the ends. Then pressure cook the beans for 2 whistles. Meanwhile mix together the all purpose flour, 1 tsp red chili powder, onion powder and garlic powder in a bowl. In another plate, mix together the crushed vermicelli, 1 tsp red chili powder and salt . In another bowl, lightly whisk an egg and keep it aside.
Once the beans are cooked, transfer them to a bowl with cold water. After 2 minutes, transfer to a sieve to remove excess water. Now coat each bean with the flour mixture. Then dip the beans one by one in the whisked egg, until well coated. Then cover the beans with the vermicelli mix. Heat oil in a kadai/ pan. Cut the beans into two halves (optional, based on the pan you use for frying). Drop the coated beans one by one into the hot oil. Turn sides in between and fry until they turn golden brown in color. Similarly fry all the prepared beans. Serve hot.
So try this once and you will definitely like it. Make sure to use very fine vermicelli, also known as Pakistani vermicelli. They are just perfect for this recipe.
