Making almond milk at home is very easy and simple. I recently prepared this at home for one of my bakes. It is a very quick process. And it yields beautiful textured, smooth and silky milk. It is totally vegan and thus can be used in all vegan bakes.
I have baked a Vegan surprise inside cake yesterday, and replaced milk with this almond milk. This, together with the applesauce, that I had used as egg/butter replacement and cold-pressed coconut oil, yielded a totally different flavored (in a good way) and delicious bake. The aroma itself was so appetizing and tempting.
I was so happy to try something new and interesting and even happier that the bake too came out sooo yummm!! The homemade milk is really good and a healthier option than the store bought ones, as there are no unknown additives or preservatives. unless we want to do in bulk, it is always advisable to make in small batches and store in the refrigerator.
