Hi.. I’m Femina. I am an ardent food lover. I love to eat and try out new flavors. Coming from Kannur, Kerala, a place well known for scrumptious eats, the craving for good food has always been within me.
My cooking adventure began once I got married and had to shift to Bangalore. My Mother is the best cook I’ve ever known. She knows all the magic tips and tricks to turn the ingredients into delicious dishes. I guess, I’ve got a little of her culinary skills too. And my father too has that Master Chef instincts within him. His knack of slicing and mixing up salads and soups is just uncomaparable. I used to admire his ways of plating and presenting the finished dishes.
Now coming to my story about how I landed up into food blogging…Actually I love photography, and it all began when my husband gifted a Nikon D3200 for me. I started clicking every fly that flew by, every flower that bloomed, and then…. everything that was cooked at home 😉 I kept learning and practicing, which I still do. Seeing my photographs and my passion for food, it was my hubby dear who first put thoughts of blogging to my mind. He insisted me to begin and try it out. But I was skeptical, and kept postponing until I got positive reviews from more people. Yes, few of my friends, who are already blogging gurus, whom I met on a healthy baking group, insisted me to begin the blogging journey. I was literally overwhelmed by their responses, and made up my mind to give it a try. Thank u Akila, Donna and Sunaina for that wake-up call 🙂
Neha Mathur of ‘WhiskAffair’ is also one of my great inspirations. Her food styling and photography is truly awesome.
In the early days of my cooking journey, I used to call my mother or my mother-in-law every other day to clear my doubts on recipes. Now that everything is available at the tip of your fingers, when in doubt, I just Google. So the recipes that you come across here are mostly learnt from my family, friends, cookbooks, food portals, or blogs. I would love to give the due credits to the author in my posts, in case my dish is inspired from one of theirs. And you could also see my own creations too 🙂
A little more about myself.. Shiraz, my husband, Sana (Tanu) and Siya (Chinna), our two little angels, and myself make our sweet little home. I am a software engineer by profession. Currently on a (hopefully) short break and enjoying a peaceful and happy life at home.
Do check and try out the recipes here. Would love to hear your feedback anytime!!
Happy Cooking..!! 🙂
