The Birth Of Salt N Pepper

Well, I have already shared the story of my blog in my ‘About Me’ section. For all those who would like to listen again here you go!

I love good food. I like to try out new flavors and dishes. The place I originally belong to, Kannur (Kerala, India) is well known for delicious food. My cooking adventure began once I got married and had to shift to Bangalore. My Mother is the best cook I’ve ever known. She prepares great food. I guess, I’ve got a little of her culinary skills.

Now coming to my story about how I landed up into food blogging…Actually I love photography, and it all began when my husband gifted a Nikon D3200 for me. I started clicking every fly that flew by, every flower that bloomed, and then…. everything that was cooked at home 😉 I kept learning and practicing, which I still do. Seeing my photographs and my passion for food, it was my hubby dear who first put thoughts of blogging to my mind. He insisted me to begin and try it out. But I was skeptical, and kept postponing until some my friends too encouraged me to give it a try.  And so, here I am. I started my blogging journey in September 2016.

Advice to New Bloggers (Food Bloggers)

I consider myself a beginner in the food blogging world. But, if asked what learning have I made in my short span of blogging journey, this would be my answer.

  • Be regular in posting your recipes.
  • Promote your posts in food groups (mainly on Facebook) so that you have a good audience.
  • Aim at improving your photography skills. A good picture grabs good audience. (Avoid flash while taking photographs)
  • Post only tried, tasted and accepted recipes on your blog.
